Reiki And Alternative Healing Methods, Part Five

Welcome to my blog on alternative healing methods that seem effective. Tapping also known as EFT is simple and yet very powerful, especially in terms of releasing stress and any number of painful circumstances in your body and life.

The points in tapping are used in Reiki, Acupuncture, Acupressure, and many other alternative healing arts. These points are all on the meridians which are energy lines through which chi (life force) flows. When there is a disruption in that flow discomfort or disease is possible. Two of my favorite leaders in the tapping world are Brad Yates and Nick Ortner. They both have books, workshops, and videos.

Another alternative healing system is the Ayurvedic medicine. It is practiced in India and Nepal. Therapies include herbal medicine, special diets, meditation, yoga, massage, oils, and much more. Dosha balance is emphasized. The dosha that needs to be balanced are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Many doctors are both Western physicians and Ayurvedic medical doctors. Deepak Chopra is a good example.

Acupuncture and Acupressure are based on meridians and the points along the meridians. Acupuncture uses needles and requires years of training. Both of these arts are ancient healing arts connecting to points that stimulate the body’s natural self-curative abilities. Both of these healing arts are very effective when used consistently on many physical problems. There are many books and references on both of these subjects. There are many alternative healing arts to explore and I would love to read your comments about any of them.

This is the end of this series, but a new series will come out in July.

Blessings,
Patricia
