We are shifting gears for a number of reasons and today’s blog is exploring one of our clients from the past life classes. She discovered she was a man named Arthur Schopenhauer. He was born in Danzig (in Poland) which is now called Gdansk (historical German name) on February 22, 1788 and died September 21, 1868 in Frankfurt, Germany.
He spoke German, French, English, Spanish, Italian, Greek and Latin.
This lifetime her ancestry was German. In college her minor was Linguistics. Her major was Spanish and German. She ended up teaching Spanish in a high school. Her husband taught Spanish in a college.
Schopenhauer had severe respiratory problems his whole life and ultimately died at 80 years old of respiratory failure. The woman has allergies and severe respiratory issues throughout this lifetime. She also was religious and had some issues with people who were Atheist.
During the first part of his life Schopenhauer was known as the Pessimist Philosopher. He was an atheist, scientist, author and philosopher.
Schopenhauer discovered Eastern Philosophy while he was traveling in the Eastern World. He was among the first philosophers from the Western tradition to share and affirm significant tenets of Indian philosophy.
He was fascinated by Sanskrit and all the amazing gods Brahama,
Ganesha, Shiva and many more that the people of the Eastern culture believed in. The Dali Lama today praises Schopenhauer for his insights into their culture.
Schopenhauer’s work didn’t really get noticed during his lifetime, but after his death his work and interests in philosophy, literature, science, art, morality and psychology influenced many thinkers and artists.
